The UFP is a 9-month, OCN London-accredited programme designed for students who need additional preparation before entering an undergraduate degree. It bridges the gap between your current qualifications and UK/international university entry requirements, and carries RQF Level 3 status — formally equivalent to A-Levels.
RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) Level 3 is the formal equivalent of UK A-Levels. The UFP is an RQF Level 3 qualification — meaning universities treat it as equivalent to A-Levels when assessing applications. It is not an easier alternative; it is a different route to the same destination.
Four pathways are available: Business & Finance; Humanities, Law & Social Science; Engineering & Computing; and Art & Design. Contact us to find the pathway that fits your goals.
The programme is specifically designed for Bangladeshi students seeking to gain a competitive edge before enrolling in a UK or internationally recognised degree.
UniStart Pathways is a Bangladesh-based education provider and proud partner of North London Grammar School, delivering the NLGS curriculum locally.
UniStart operates under North London Grammar School (NLGS), a well-established UK institution with a strong track record of helping students gain entry to leading universities in the UK and internationally.
As an authorised partner, UniStart delivers NLGS's University Foundation Programme here in Bangladesh. This means the curriculum, academic standards, OCN London accreditation and RQF Level 3 you receive are exactly the same as those offered in the UK — giving you a genuinely internationally recognised qualification.
The UFP is accredited by OCN London, a highly regarded UK awarding body. Upon successful completion, you receive a recognised foundation diploma that can be used to apply for undergraduate programmes at universities in the UK and internationally.
There are three intakes per year, giving you flexibility on when to begin: September, January, and April. Contact our admissions team to find out which intake best suits your schedule and academic goals.
UniStart Pathways is an authorised franchise delivery partner of North London Grammar School. We deliver the same NLGS UFP curriculum in Dhaka under the same OCN London accreditation. The diploma awarded is identical to the one issued in the UK.
Yes. NLGS is a fully accredited independent school inspected by Ofsted, which rated it Outstanding in all categories in 2018. It was also inspected by the ISI in 2025, with all standards met. The UFP is accredited by OCN London. In 2025, NLGS won the ISA Award for International Provision.
Students should be aged 16–18 or above and have completed Year 10 or Year 11 (or equivalent). We accept students from English-medium schools, Cambridge IGCSE schools, IB schools, local state schools, and any nationally accredited institution.
Absolutely. The UFP qualification is accredited by OCN London regardless of where it is studied. Students completing the programme through UniStart in Bangladesh receive the same OCN London-accredited Foundation Diploma as those studying at NLGS in London.
There are five steps: (1) Enquiry, (2) Submit academic transcripts, (3) Complete application documents, (4) Secure your place and pay tuition, (5) Arrive and begin the course.
